America's Antiques Roadshow - premieres weekdays at 6.35pm from four August (Sky 534 & Virgin Media 243) Mark L Walberg gifts the American edition of the series wherein individuals of the public talk to the specialists to be taught the price of a few of their historical curios and collectibles. On Wednesday, Mark joins appraiser Eric Silver on the Philbrook Museum of Artwork. Highlights consist of a Ming Dynasty solid bronze guardian determine, dating again to 1600. On Thursday the scene shifts to Eugene, Oregon, where Mark and Ken Farmer discover a 1919 oil portray through Norman Rockwell, entitled The Little Mannequin(pictured left), valued at $500,000. Finally on Friday, Mark joins appraiser Jeffrey Schrader on the Willamette Heritage Middle to talk about the historical past and present values of World Conflict I uniforms. One proprietor is made chuffed when an early Twentieth-century Russian presentation sword from the reign of Tsar Nicholas II, purchased for $500, is valued at over $75,000.
